    Exciting new Art Director for fashion shows!

    Here at Marry Me Towers we’re really excited following a meeting today with new creative genius Tennille Posthumous, who is now heading up the bridal fashion shows at the Marry Me wedding fairs in Brighton.

     

    This year sees a big change in the way we do our wedding fairs, taking the standards higher, and making it much more exciting and more of a performance-based showcase. We’re also launching the first of our sexy bridal pamper evenings on 15 July but more about that later!

     

    Tennille is our new Art Director for the bridal fashion shows, bringing her first-hand experience in choreography, styling and modelling to the wedding fairs. Expect pizzazz: lights, camera, action! Lots of dancing and some amazing music. Plus a lot more than just dresses on the catwalk – there will be lingerie, accessories and bouquets.

     

    We also plan to ensure a variety of sizes and ages, as we know you’re not all size 8. And wouldn’t want to be!

    Four Weddings

    So Marry Me is gearing up for new wedding fairs this year, and our first one this Spring is a humdinger up at Brighton Racecourse. Do have a look at the details if you’re interested in coming along, either as an exhibitor or visitor. But in the meantime…

    Here at Marry Me! we have been approached by the TV production company that makes the programme ‘Four Weddings’ and they’re looking for brides! Yes! You could be on the telly!

    FIELD PLACE POSTPONED

    The Field Place wedding fair scheduled for 4 October 2009 is going to be postponed until Spring of next year. We decided after looking at all the other events on during the month of October, and also realising that the venue will look fantastic in Spring, that it would be better if we changed the date. So it’s all round a better time to showcase both the venue and a better forum for the exhibitors too.

    The venue will still be open for anyone who wants to come along and view it, and we’ll be there, in case you wanted to chat any wedding plans through with our wedding planning service. In fact, if you wanted exclusive one-to-one attention it might be a good time to show up!  Have a show round and a proper natter about your ideas!

    Anyway, as I say, we’ll be there from 11am-4pm anyway - maybe see you there for a cuppa!

    You want fries with that?!

    Crazy wedding food

    OK, so maybe we’re not quite as crazy as la-la land yet – and of course by that I mean Los Angeles of course, but THIS is an interesting article about food trends for weddings in the USA. Yep folks, this summer, it’s all about the French fry, according to the New York Times.

    Seems prawn cocktail, steak Diane and Black Forest gateau just won’t do any more, it’s trash trash trash all the way.

    If this floats your boat, ask us. We love to do anything out of the ordinary and anyone who wants a shocking wedding feast – whether it’s Pot Noodle, beefburgers, fish ‘n’chips or vindaloo  – beefburgerwill find nothing but a big smile here at Marry Me Towers!

    THIS SUNDAY DRAWS NEARER!

    Our wedding fair at the Thistle in Brighton on Sunday draws closer. It’s a whirl of activity in the office now as the last preparations are finalised and details checked. We actually had someone wanting to book last minute today - think we managed to squeeze them in but it’s a really busy fair this time. Must be lots of love and romance in the air!

    Having a fashion show rehearsal on Thursday to run through the dresses. Got absolutely gorgeous dresses to die for, also darling little bridesmaids and men’s suits too.  Been choosing the music this week… expect something a bit different this time, we like to keep things interesting!

    PeeWees Hairdressing in Brighton are setting up a huge stand and the models are going to have their hair done live in the centre of the exhibition. You’ll be able to see the stylists in action and when they’ve done the models, they’ll be grabbing passing lucky victims to give them a sexy new ‘do, all complimentary! How cool? Visit a wedding fair and have your hair done by the experts for free! We have a team of fabulous make up artists on hand too - these are all people who do weddings, so a great chance to see them in action. Think there are lovely products from PeeWees in the goody bags this time too.  

    We’re working out what our special offer for brides is going to be this time too - might even be a competition of some sort so watch this space…

    DRESSES FROM OUR LAST WEDDING FAIR

    Photographer Lisa Beaney took some great shots of some of our bridal fashion show at our last wedding fair. We did a Valentine’s Wedding Fair at the Old Ship in Brighton and there’s nothing like having a good gawp at the wedding dresses so here’s  a couple of shots to look at.  The  gorgeous blonde with the lace up back is actually Teri, who works here! She’ll go crazy when she sees I’ve put this up but it is such a lovely pic. Her mum will love it anyway!

    NEW VENUE ANNOUNCED

    Really excited now that we have just secured a fantastic new place for a wedding fair in West Sussex. Field Place in Worthing is absolutely gorgeous, they’re going all out for weddings and civil ceremonies and Marry Me! is delighted that we’re going to be doing a wedding fair with them on 4th October.

    Can’t say how pleased we are. It’s a great venue, and an opportunity to offer all those exhibitors from further West and even up into Surrey or Hampshire a place to exhibit. Oh, plus it’s got loads of free parking! Got to be a winner.

    Anyone who hasn’t seen the place before, have a look at their site here and if you would like to exhibit or visit, wing us an email. Since we secured the spot yesterday we’ve had five exhibitors book space though so be lively!
